Rex Bishop

Bishop worked in the nursery and landscape industry before teaching horticultural and landscaping at the college level for more than 25 years. He currently provides training and resources for corporate clients.


Steve Hamilton

Steve Hamilton has 20+ years’ experience in safety with workers’ compensation insurance carriers and insurance agencies.  He is currently finishing his eighth year with Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, serving as the Loss Control Supervisor in southern California.  Over the years, he has provided risk management services for clients with locations across the Western States including Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming, and Utah.  Steve focuses on providing “real world” solutions to minimize risk potential and address regulatory compliance.  He enjoys the daily interaction with employees and employers alike.  His industry specialties include Landscaping, Construction, Wood/Metal fabrication and manufacturing.
 
Steve received his Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in literature and education from California State University, Long Beach.  He continues to pursue coursework to provide value added services to policyholders that includes OSHA 10/30 training, pesticide awareness and others.  He is an active member of the ASSP/ASSE and holds the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certificate.

Steel has spent more than 30 years developing, delivering and evaluating agricultural industry safety and health programs. He is also the NALP safety Advisor.
