Brett Lemcke has been working in the industry since the age of 15 for the family business founded by his father and uncle. He is currently responsible for the day to day operations of the company as well as the management of the Landscape Management Division. R.M. Landscape has been a full service landscape firm for more than 38 years and has been an active member of National Association of Landscape Professionals and the legacy association ALCA for more than 25 years. Brett has been an active member in a number of committees including the Industry Recruiting committee and the Student Career Days Committee.

Cundiff has been in the landscape industry since 1976 when he worked with the Kansas City Royals. In 1987, Jon and Vicky, his wife, started up Turf’s Up Lawn service in the Kansas City metro area. In 2000, Cundiff joined the Weed Man organization and is currently a sub-franchisor for the mid-west region of the U.S. in charge of business development and dealer support. Locally, Cundiff has been an active member of Mid America Green Industry Council for 20 years, 10 of which were on the board of directors. Cundiff is also served 10 years on the PLCAA board of directors as well as serving for six-years on the GIE board of directors. Cundiff currently participates in the NALP Trailblazer program.

Jeff Buhler, Senior Vice President, Customer Service, is responsible for Learning & Development, Quality Assurance and Information Technology. Previously Jeff was responsible for the Landscape Services division and Customer Care. Before joining Massey Services, he held the position of Vice President of Operations with Middleton Lawn & Pest Control, a pest management organization that was acquired by Massey Services in December 2009. Jeff joined Middleton in 2000 as a General Manager.

Scott is Vice President of Bartlett Tree Experts. He leads Bartlett’s national recruiting and corporate partnerships efforts and also heads the Bartlett Inventory Solutions team in providing innovative and technologically advanced tree management plans to clients across the country. Prior to joining Bartlett in 2008, Scott was president and CEO of a national tree care firm with revenues of over $50 million. Scott serves as a director on a number of boards including: The Alliance for Community Trees, the Midwest Ecological Landscape Association, The Morton Arboretum and Openlands in Chicago. He is the past chair of the board for the Tree Care Industry Association and a former board member for the National Safety Council.

Jason Becker is Caterpillar’s Mini-Excavator Commercial Supervisor and manages Caterpillar's excavator business for North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Jason grew up in small-town Iowa and spent his years before college mowing neighborhood lawns and generally getting his hands dirty. Upon graduation with a Marketing degree from Iowa State University in 2001, Jason was hired by Caterpillar and has been engaged in the landscaping industry ever since. Jason has a passion for the industry and notes that landscaping customers are his favorite due to their passion and the work that they do. Jason is in his second board term, serves on the board finance committee and has also been involved in the strategy and planning of business education seminars for NALP members.

Mike Bogan is the CEO of LandCare, one of the industry’s largest national landscape maintenance companies. A graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Mike began his career in the design/build division of Davis Landscape Contractors in their MD/DC/VA office. He moved to The Brickman Group a short time later and helped pioneer their branch model while the company’s focus changed from design/build to maintenance. During his 23 years with Brickman, he saw their revenue increase from $40M to $850M, creating a network of branches across the United States. He was active in developing new markets, engaged in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, led corporate functions for marketing and employee development, and served Brickman as their Executive Vice President during his last seven years.

James Campanella became a lawn care technician 1982. In 1989 he moved to Portland, ME to open a lawn care branch for Lawnmark, and was promoted to regional manager in 1993. In 1996, Jim started Lawn Dawg. Campanella served on the board of directors of the Professional Lawn Care Association of America for 6 years, including serving as president in 2004. He served on the merger committee to combine PLCAA and ALCA to create PLANET, where he served for one year as Immediate Past President. He has served as an NALP Trailblazer for seven years. He served as president of the Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals in 2003, and has spent countless hours fighting regulatory issues on behalf of his industry.

Joy has more than 28 years of business experience, with the last 18 years being within Land Care Incorporated, a landscaping company she owns with her husband in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Because of Joy’s love of public speaking and interacting with people, you will often find her communicating about educational topics including marketing, human resources, and public administration. She has been very active within the association over the past two decades, serving on several committees. She is also currently on the Board of Directors for the newly formed Southern Nevada Landscape Association and an active member of the Nevada Landscape Association.

Pete Farno has a long history of sales and marketing leadership in the turf and ornamental and professional pest management industries. Starting as a lawn care branch manager in 1987, Pete has worked on the operator and supplier side in various roles of increasing responsibility. Over the past 18 years with Bayer, Pete has worked in U.S. based roles as well as working in Bayer’s global headquarters where he was the Global Portfolio Manager for the Green Industry. Currently, Pete leads Bayer’s effort in the lawn and landscape business. A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Pete, his wife Monica and son Nicholas reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Tom Fochtman has more than 35 years experience in the landscape industry. He is the founder and CEO of Ceibass Venture Partners, a consulting firm specializing on exit strategies for landscape industry companies. In addition to serving on the association’s board of director, he is also on the National Association of Landscape Professionals Foundation board of directors.

Zach Johnson is an Associate Professor in the Landscape Design and Contracting and Landscape Business Programs at Colorado State University. Additionally he has more than 20 years of experience in the private sector specializing in residential design/build. Zach has volunteered extensively at both the state and national level in landscape industry leadership. He is also a licensed professional landscape architect.

Frank Mariani is the President of Mariani Landscape, a high-end, award winning, residential landscape design and maintenance firm located in Lake Bluff, Illinois, which was founded by his father Vito in 1958. Frank also owns Mariani Nursery, a 558+ acre wholesale nursery located on the Illinois-Wisconsin border, is a partner in Hampshire Farms, a 50 acre perennial farm located in Hampshire, Illinois, which produces quart and gallon finished perennial, and owns a 120-acre container/propagation facility in Garden Prairie, Illinois, that produces high-quality container plants. Frank and his wife, Sherri, reside in Lake Forest and have two children, Frank V. and Alexandra Lynn.

Paul has been in the landscape industry for more than 30 years with both landscape industry service and supplier companies. In those years, he has served in roles ranging from a Lawn Service Technician to a Territory Sales Rep to a Sales Vice President. In addition he has served on several state and national industry association boards of directors. He is a past president of Project Evergreen where he currently serves on the Executive Committee. He is also the former Chair of the Government Affairs Committee for National Association of Landscape Professionals.

Experienced in the trade since 1987, Shayne Newman founded YardApes, Inc. in 1990 and holds the title of president. He hails from Telluride, Colorado, but has lived in New Milford for the past 27 years. Shayne received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut, is a Landscape Industry Certified Technician, Landscape Industry Certified Manager, holds a Connecticut Supervisory Pesticide License, and is a Certified Landscape Designer..

Barbara and her husband John are principals of New Desert Gallery, Inc., a landscape and swimming pool design/build firm serving southern Arizona for more than 35 years. She is a past President of the Arizona Landscape Contractors' Association and is currently on the Board of Trustees. She has been the NALP Design/Build/Installation specialty group chair since 2010 and is currently the chair of the Leaders Forum Committee, as well as serving on several other NALP committees. Stropko is passionate about the design/build industry and is an NALP Trailblazer.

Andrew Ziehler is the President of Ziehler Lawn and Tree Care located in Centerville, Ohio. He has been in the industry since 1999 and specializes in motivating and growing teams that focus on customer service. Andrew has been involved in National Association of Landscape Professionals for most of his career and served on multiple committees such as the Green Industry Conference and Education Committees and he served as the Chairman of the Lawn Care Specialty Group. Andrew is also a member of the Ohio Lawn Care Association (OLCA) and is involved in other entrepreneur organizations such as Aileron.
