What to Expect This Year at Arlington National Cemetery:
- Volunteers will complete projects including top dressing turf, restoring irrigation, installing lightning protection on designated trees and various landscape & hardscape projects.
- The Children's Program: Volunteers’ children will be invited to participate in activities specifically designed for them. There needs to be one parent/legal guardian present for a child to participate in the program. Parent/legal guardian cannot work on a project elsewhere.
- Only working volunteers can attend the R&R event at ANC due to capacity restrictions.
The number of participants at ANC will be limited and based on the need for each project. Volunteers not assigned to projects at ANC will be assigned to the projects on the National Mall.
What to Expect This Year at the Washington Monument:
In partnership with the Trust for the National Mall and the National Park Service, we have a number of projects at the Washington Monument.
- At the Washington Monument, volunteers will complete projects including woodchips, seeding and planting.
There is no fee to participate, but we do invite you to join us for the reception and dinner on Sunday evening, July 16th, at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View hotel. There is a $75 per person fee for the reception and dinner.
