Bruce Wilson, Loriena Harrington, Brandon Sheppard, and Andrew Ziehler Receive Leadership Awards from NALP at LANDSCAPES

Chalet takes Top Honors at Awards of Excellence Celebration

Fairfax, VA., (October 27, 2021) —
 The National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) announced the recipients of its 2021 leadership and project awards at its annual conference, LANDSCAPES, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Bruce Wilson, the founder of Bruce Wilson and Company, was honored with the Lifetime Leadership Award for his years of service to the industry through NALP and other industry organizations and as a mentor and business coach to many industry professionals. View the video.

Loriena Harrington, owner  of Beautiful Blooms, LLC of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, was honored with the Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award for her work building her company, participating in industry groups like the Women in Landscape Network, and her mentorship of her predominantly female staff. Andrew Ziehler, president of Ziehler Lawn and Tree Care of Centerville, Ohio, was recognized as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year for his success in building his lawn care company and his involvement in many industry causes. View the video.

Brandon Sheppard, Weed Man franchisor in the Mid-Atlantic, received the Advocate the Year Award for his work as the Chair of NALP’s Government Affairs Council and his extensive grassroots work on industry issues. 

Also this year, 140 landscape projects received an Award of Excellence from NALP. The awards honor outstanding landscape maintenance, design/build, installation, lawn care, and interiorscape projects. The committee conferred 47 gold awards, 69 silver awards, and 23 bronze awards and a Decade award was given to Hoffman Landscapes, Inc.

The highest honor of the night – a Judges’ Award – went to Chalet, of the Chicagoland area, for their work on a landscape maintenance project.
