Kevin Kehoe Student Leader of the Year

The NALP Foundation has established the Kevin Kehoe Student Leader of the Year Award to recognize a student who has demonstrated strong leadership within their academic community, has a passion for helping others, and serves as an outstanding example to other students preparing for a career in landscaping, lawn care, or related field. Eligible nominees must be active members of their National Association of Landscape Professionals Student Chapter and enrolled in a 2- or 4-year related degree program. Faculty from NALP Student Chapters will be asked to submit a current student from their program for consideration. This award will be presented annually at the National Collegiate Landscape Competition, and will include a scholarship.  The scholarship will be funded by Kevin’s family, friends and industry associates.

Nominations will open September 2023.

Kevin Kehoe, Aspire Software co-founder, mentor, and friend to many, passed away on September 30, 2022. Kevin made charitable contributions to the NALP Foundation as a scholarship Ambassador and as the lead champion of the annual NALP Foundation Scholarship Reception, held in conjunction with the NALP National Collegiate Landscape Competition. In working with the NALP Foundation, Kevin continually stressed the importance of giving to and supporting students, and actively working to attract, grow, and retain the next generation of landscape industry leaders.
