As stewards of the environment, NALP supports the transition from gas powered landscape equipment to electric equipment. We acknowledge the transition is on the horizon, however, we ask for a reasonable timeline and increased investments in incentives and to support the infrastructure needed to ease this transition. Unfortunately, the current zero emission equipment available today continues to have performance issues, prohibitive cost barriers and national infrastructure issues that are not ready to support a full scale transition.
NALP will continue to work with policy makers, equipment manufactures and dealers and landscape professionals to usher in a responsible transition away from carbon emitting equipment that provides realistic timelines and incentives as we embrace new technologies and practices.
