About NALP

The National Association of Landscape Professionals (formed by a merger of the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) and the Professionals Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) is the trade association representing nearly 200,000 landscape industry professionals in the United States, Canada and overseas.

Our member companies specialize in lawn care, landscape design and installation, landscape maintenance, tree care, irrigation and water management, horticulture, and interior plantscaping. Our membership also includes industry suppliers and manufacturers, consultants, students and faculty, and non-profit organizations.

We are committed to advancing the industry and helping our members achieve success through advocacy and government relations, education, networking, training, and certifications.

We are a powerful force working to protect the industry. Our team works with landscape and lawn care professionals at the local, state and Federal level to build relationships and advocate for positive legislation and regulations.

Promoting the Benefits of Healthy Landscapes

Through LoveYourLandscape.org, during National Lawn Care Month, and all year round, we are educating consumers about the benefits of managed landscapes and their positive impact on climate and environmental sustainability.

National Collegiate Landscape Competition

Giving Back Through Volunteer Service

Our industry gives back all year round. We honor that volunteer spirit through our national day of service – Renewal and Remembrance – held in Washington D.C. each July. We also partner with other volunteer service organizations.

Renewal & Remembrance

Each July, lawn care and landscape professionals from across the country donate their time and expertise to enhance the grounds at Arlington National Cemetery and honor the men and women buried there.
