Just Don't Suck at the Landscape Part

Why Communication and Customer Service Matter More Than Quality

Most of us "landscapers" know what quality landscape installation and maintenance is, strive for it, and are proud to provide it. However, providing quality workmanship in our craft is only part of what is needed for success. Most of the time, getting to know your customer and providing proactive communication are more important than providing quality landscaping.

Bob Grover | Pacific Landscape Management

If running a business is not challenging enough, having company owned vehicles adds a whole new level of complexity. Controlling fuel costs, maintaining fleet security, and increasing productivity while reducing operating costs are just some of the challenges (and opportunities!) tied to fleet management. Through this interactive session, a live panel of GPS tracking customers will walk attendees through the top five fleet management challenges, business implications for not addressing these challenges and information on how your fleet technology can overcome these challenges. Real world examples along with a game of Family Feud (GPS Tracking style) promise to keep it interesting, practical and engaging.

Dirk Munson & Todd Ewing | Fleetmatics

Fact: Less than one third of American workers are engaged with their work and the cost of disengaged employees runs in the billions in lost productivity each year. You want to win customers and a bigger share of the marketplace, but first you must first win the hearts and minds of your employees. Unlock a language that will help you understand your people and build a committed and satisfied powerhouse organization, using the Clifton StrengthsFinder from Gallup.

Sales and Marketing in the NOW Economy

This is NOT your father's sales and marketing campaign. Growing your business has most assuredly changed more in the last ten years than in the prior 50. That doesn't mean it has to be more difficult to reach your target customer if armed with the latest knowledge and tools.
Ever wonder which words or phrases create that "call to action?" And of those prospects and eventual sales, which of them create the most profit? How do you get more out of those profitable customers and eliminated the "zero calorie revenue" new sales? Digital marketing sounds cool, but what are the practical uses for a business owner and truly how do I decide which ones fit my business? Are you a baby boomer business owner who understands the inevitability of digital marketing but stress about how to convert and which channels make sense for mature established business and customers? Beth has you covered. In addition to answering these key questions, she will lead you through a hands on exercise of creating your own 2017 Sales and Marketing Campaign. As the former Executive Director of the Better Business Bureau, Beth will also share advice with regard to leveraging third party review sites that allows you to move from "defense" ("that customer said what!!!!") to offense "AAA Lawn Care is the best lawn care company in Indianapolis." Bingo. Marketing gold. This is a must see presentation for companies determined to grow their business - profitably - in 2017.
