Sean Martin

Sean Martin is an associate professor at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, where he  teaches leadership development in the residential and executive MBA programs.

His award-winning research that appears in top academic journals addresses leadership strategies, employee voice, organizational culture and communication. He has worked in a range of industries including governmental organizations, creative firms, tech, and IT firms, insurance organizations, and financial institutions. 

Sean obtained his Ph.D. and an MS in Management from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University, his MBA from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, and his B. in Global Studies and Spanish from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Eric Karpinski

Eric Karpinski, Author of Put Happiness to Work, has been on the cutting edge of bringing positive psychology tools to workplaces across North America for nearly ten years with clients that include Intel, Facebook, NASA, IBM, T-Mobile, and more. In his programs, he shares powerful psychology and neuroscience research that shows that happiness leads to success. He’s helped tens of thousands of people find more happiness at work and helped managers and executives lead with positive emotions to drive team productivity, engagement, and performance.

Eric trained as a scientist at Brown University and has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He has been a management consultant, venture capitalist and executive in the biopharma industry. He and his wife are regular work-advice columnists on Psychology Today.
