2020 Ceremony
For nearly a quarter of a century, landscape and lawn care professionals have gathered together at Arlington National Cemetery for the largest day of service in the industry. This year’s Renewal & Remembrance event, unfortunately, cannot be held due to COVID-19. However, we can still join together, in spirit, to honor the men and women buried at Arlington National Cemetery and to remember and commemorate the work that has been performed to enhance the grounds in at ANC over the past 24 years by thousands of landscape, lawn care, tree care, and irrigation professionals.
On July 20, 2020, in place of the large-scale event, and in adherence with the rules at Arlington National Cemetery, we held a small closed ceremony and planted a Red Oak Tree donated by Country Spring Wholesale Nursery with remarks by NALP President, Andrew Ziehler, and ANC Superintendent, Mr. Ray Alexander.
Also representing the Renewal & Remembrance Committee and all NALP volunteers are Past Renewal & Remembrance Chairs; Bruce Allentuck, Phil Fogarty, and Walter Wray; Current Vice-Chair, Eric Gilbey; and Current Chair, John Eggleston.
