Chart of Accounts

The Chart of Accounts is a summarizing coding system that classifies for electronic storage of all financial transactions the Company conducts through its check book, journals, and sub-journals. Your accounting software most likely comes with some pre-loaded accounts, many are on this list. You can add to the software’s list. Included are some suggested accounts that will conform to the way most of the industry tracks their costs and will be helpful to you in benchmarking your costs to industry norms.
