Jeff Buhler

Jeff Buhler, Senior Vice President of Customer Service at Massey Services, is responsible for Learning & Development, Quality Assurance and Information Technology. Previously Jeff was responsible for the Landscape Services division and Customer Care. Before joining Massey Services, he held the position of Vice President of Operations with Middleton Lawn & Pest Control, a pest management organization that was acquired by Massey Services in December 2009. Jeff joined Middleton in 2000 as a General Manager.

Jon Cundiff

Jon Cundiff has been in the landscape industry since 1976 when he worked with the Kansas City Royals. In 1987, Jon and Vicky, his wife, started Turf’s Up Lawn service in the Kansas City metro area. In 2000, Cundiff joined the Weed Man organization and is currently a sub-franchisor for the mid-west region of the U.S. in charge of business development and dealer support. Locally, Jon has been an active member of Mid America Green Industry Council for 20 years, 10 of which were on the board of directors. Jon is also served 10 years on the PLCAA board of directors as well as serving for six-years on the GIE board of directors. Jon currently participates in the NALP Trailblazer program.


Andrew Ziehler

Andrew Ziehler is the President of Ziehler Lawn and Tree Care located in Centerville, Ohio. He has been in the industry since 1999 and specializes in motivating and growing teams that focus on customer service. Andrew has been involved in National Association of Landscape Professionals for most of his career and served on multiple committees such as the Green Industry Conference and Education Committees and he served as the Chairman of the Lawn Care Specialty Group. Andrew is also a member of the Ohio Lawn Care Association (OLCA) and is involved in other entrepreneur organizations such as Aileron.


Shayne Newman

Experienced in the trade since 1987, Shayne Newman founded YardApes, Inc. in 1990 and holds the title of president. He hails from Telluride, Colorado, but has lived in New Milford for the past 27 years. Shayne received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Connecticut, is a Landscape Industry Certified Technician, Landscape Industry Certified Manager, holds a Connecticut Supervisory Pesticide License, and is a Certified Landscape Designer.


Bruce Allentuck

Bruce Allentuck is the current President of Allentuck Landscaping Co. (1986–present) as well as the CEO of RightPlantz (2017–present). Bruce received his B.S. Degree in Landscape Horticulture, N.C. State (1987) before starting his business. Bruce has held leadership positions within our association as Chairman of NALP Renewal & Remembrance (2013-2105); Chairman NALP Awards Committee; and Chairman NALP Landscape Maintenance Specialty Group. He also volunteers locally at the Clarksburg Chamber of Commerce.

Jason Becker

Jason Becker is Caterpillar’s Mini-Excavator Commercial Supervisor and manages Caterpillar's excavator business for North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Jason grew up in small-town Iowa and spent his years before college mowing neighborhood lawns and generally getting his hands dirty. Upon graduation with a Marketing degree from Iowa State University in 2001, Jason was hired by Caterpillar and has been engaged in the landscaping industry ever since. Jason has a passion for the industry and notes that landscaping customers are his favorite due to their passion and the work that they do. Jason is in his second board term, serves on the board finance committee and has also been involved in the strategy and planning of business education seminars for NALP members.

Mike Bogan

Mike Bogan is the CEO of LandCare, one of the industry’s largest national landscape maintenance companies. A graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Mike began his career in the design/build division of Davis Landscape Contractors in their MD/DC/VA office. He moved to The Brickman Group a short time later and helped pioneer their branch model while the company’s focus changed from design/build to maintenance. During his 23 years with Brickman, he saw their revenue increase from $40M to $850M, creating a network of branches across the United States. He was active in developing new markets, engaged in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, led corporate functions for marketing and employee development, and served Brickman as their Executive Vice President during his last seven years.

Pete Farno

Pete Farno has a long history of sales and marketing leadership in the turf and ornamental and professional pest management industries. Starting as a lawn care branch manager in 1987, Pete has worked on the operator and supplier side in various roles of increasing responsibility. Over the past 18 years with Bayer, Pete has worked in U.S. based roles as well as working in Bayer’s global headquarters where he was the Global Portfolio Manager for the Green Industry. Currently, Pete leads Bayer’s effort in the lawn and landscape business. A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Pete, his wife Monica and son Nicholas reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Jeff Fedorchak

Jeff Fedorchak serves as Vice President and head of Corporate Affairs for TruGreen, North America's largest professional lawncare company. As a member of the leadership team, he drives the company’s focus on government affairs, strategic relationship building, corporate social responsibility as well as extending sales and communications support to the commercial business team. He created the TruGreen Environmental Stewardship and Community Partnership platforms and currently co-chairs company restructuring efforts toward building a more horizontal workforce. Jeff led corporate communications and public relations during TruGreen’s separation from parent company ServiceMaster in 2014 and through the acquisition of Scotts Lawn Service in 2016. Before joining the Board, he served as Co-chair of the NALP Public Affairs Advisory Council (2015-17) and as a member of the NALP Political Action Committee. Jeff serves on public policy committees in numerous states which help advance and defend the business interests of our industry. He is the NALP 2018 Advocacy Award winner.

Paul Fraynd

Paul Fraynd is the CEO of Sun Valley Landscaping which has 16 full-time employees and up to 35 season full-time staff in the field. Paul started his first business in 2002 while still a freshman in college. The business has grown and changed but his love and passion for the industry remains the same. Paul has served in several local and national volunteer opportunities in the industry, serving on local Omaha Grounds Maintenance Association Board and currently serving on NALP’s Public Affairs Advisory Council along with the board of the NALP-PAC.

Bob Grover

Bob Grover, CEO of Pacific Landscape Management, is truly an industry veteran, starting with his first job at a local nursery as a sophomore in high school, he has only ever working within the industry. Bob graduated from Oregon State University and worked for 15 years at Northwest Landscape Industries and then three years with TruGreen LandCare. Bob started Pacific Landscape Management in 2001. In 17 years, Pacific has grown to manage more than 500 commercial properties with a staff of 200 and is the Portland market leader in commercial landscape management. Bob has participated in ALCA and now NALP for more than 30 years and he is a firm believer in the value of NALP membership and involvement.

Phil Key

Phil Key currently serves as the President of Ruppert Landscape and his primary focus is to make sure that the company’s visions and values are integrated into its daily operation. He does this by working closely with the management team on its planning, personnel development, and systems control processes. Phil has been working for the Ruppert organization for over 18 years and has over 27 years in the industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Western Maryland (now McDaniel) College and recently graduated from Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management (OPM) program.

Roscoe Klausing

Roscoe Klausing is the founder and owner of the Klausing Group. He has been involved in the landscape industry since 1992, serving and leading numerous industry committees and advisory boards in the assocation. He became central Kentucky’s first landscape industry certified professional in 2000 and is the youngest winner of Commerce Lexington’s Small Business of the Year Award. Also, in 2014, Klausing was named an NALP Trailblazer.

Joseph R. Kujawa

Joe Kujawa graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Architecture and obtained his M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University. Kujawa has worked for Kujawa Enterprises, Inc. since 2003. Prior to that, he worked for Keane Consulting Group in Chicago, IL where he performed operational consulting for Fortune 500 clients. Joe has served in leadership roles in the association including serving as Chairman of Interior Specialty Group, as well serving as a member on the Governance Taskforce, Education Committee, Emerging Leadership, and Landscape Management Specialty Group. Kujawa has also served as a board member for the Foundation, Green Plants for Green Buildings, American Institute of Architecture Students, and Cornell Alpha Delta Phi, Inc.

Frank Mariani

Frank Mariani is the CEO of Mariani Landscape, a high-end, award winning, residential landscape design and maintenance firm located in Lake Bluff, Illinois, which was founded by his father Vito in 1958. Frank also owns Mariani Nursery, a 558+ acre wholesale nursery located on the Illinois-Wisconsin border, is a partner in Hampshire Farms, a 50 acre perennial farm located in Hampshire, Illinois, which produces quart and gallon finished perennial, and owns a 120-acre container/propagation facility in Garden Prairie, Illinois, that produces high-quality container plants.

Joe Munie

Joe Munie, President & CEO of Munie Greencare Professionals, founded the company in 1980 as a chemical lawn care company. Since then, Munie has evolved into 70% commercial maintenance, 20% landscape construction, and 10% plant health care. The company operates out of 9 states and has recently placed on Lawn & Landscape’s Top 100 Grounds Maintenance Companies in North America list. He is currently a member of Southern Illinois Builder’s Association, NALP, Turfgrass Producers International, Gateway chapter of Sport Turf Manager Association. He also serves as an active volunteer of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Tim Portland

Tim Portland is the Chairman and CEO of Yellowstone Landscape, which he joined in 2012. He previously was CEO of USI Building Solutions, and spent 10 years at Scotts Miracle-Gro, including leadership of the Global Professional Division, Scotts LawnService Division, and Ortho™/Roundup™ Pesticides Division. Portland has been an active member of the Public Affairs Advisory Council over the past 3 years, and is most actively involved in NALP’s H-2B efforts, including leading NALP’s H-2B Advisory committee.
